The landscape is ever-changing, with wooded hillsides, expansive waters, and dramatic Highland scenery that shifts with the light and weather.

The lodge benefits from direct access to Loch Ness, allowing kayakers and paddleboarders to launch from the doorstep and explore the tranquil waters of this world-famous loch. The gardens are also a haven for wildlife, regularly welcoming pine martens, red squirrels, and a wonderful variety of wild birds, giving guests the opportunity to experience Scotland’s native wildlife in its natural setting.

Just moments from the lodge, the renowned Great Glen Way offers access to one of Scotland’s finest long-distance walking trails. Stretching approximately 79 miles (127 km) between Fort William and Inverness, the route follows the dramatic Great Glen through ancient Caledonian forests, alongside lochs and the Caledonian Canal, with breathtaking views throughout.

The nearby village of Invermoriston provides convenient everyday amenities, including a well-stocked community shop, a welcoming café, and a traditional hotel bar. Just a short drive away, the popular village of Fort Augustus offers a wider selection of restaurants, independent shops, and leisure facilities centred around the Caledonian Canal, where visitors can watch boats pass through the famous locks, enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness, or simply soak up the atmosphere of this charming Highland village.
